What is your cancellation policy?
Should you need to cancel your appointment anywhere up to 24 hours, please cancel online. Within 24 hours, please contact us directly to cancel. Please note that canceling within 24 hours of your appointment will result in a charge of 100% of the appointment fee.
What should I do to prep for my spray tan?
Beforeāā
- Exfoliate 24 hours before
- Discontinue use of retinols, bha or aha 7 days prior
- If you're getting ready for a trip/event, a spray tan should be your last appointment.Ā
- Don't shower on the day of your appointment.
- Do not apply deodorant, perfume or lotions on the day of your appointment.
- Shave 24 hours before your tan. It's best to use a razor without a moisturizing strip.
- Wax 24-48 hours before your tan.
- Remove previous tan 24 hours before Spray Tan.
- Wear dark, loose fitting clothing. Long sleeve shirt and pants is suggested.Ā
Is there anything I shouldn't do while my spray tan is developing?
While Tan is Developing - Don't
- Wear shoes or socks.
- Shave or wax.Ā
- Apply deodorant, perfume or lotions (unless instructed).
- Wear tight clothing - Bras, jeans, spandex, boots etc.
- Swim or exercise.
- Shower other than when instructed.
What is the best way to care for my tan and get the best results?
After
- Your technician will advise you of the best time to shower depending on the solution that is being used. You may notice brown water during your first rinse. This is just the bronzer applied... not your tan!
- Avoid hot showers & baths - pat dry with towel after bathing,Ā
- Stay hydrated! Drinking water and applying body lotion or Tan Extender will extend your tan.
- Avoid oils, perfume and exfoliants while you're tanned.
- Avoid Moisturizers with mineral oils or alcohols.Ā
- Chlorine may lead to premature fading of your tan. Ensure you rinse with fresh water after contact with chlorine.Ā
What should I know about Dermaplaning?
Before
- Discontinue use of Retinol, Hydroquinone, Salicylic Acid Peel or Glycolic Peels 7 days before.
- No sun exposure.
- Treatment cannot be preformed if there are any blisters or cold sores.
- If taking Accutane or any form of, please contact us.Ā
- Do not wax or thread 7 days before treatment on facial and neck area.Ā
After
- Wait 7 days before using Retinol, Hydroquinone, Salicylic Acid Peel or Glycolic Peels.
- No sun Exposure for 7 days.
- Wear SPF 30+
- Avoid waxing or threading.
- Book next appointment for 4-6 weeks.Ā
What should I know about Lash Lifts?
Before
- Before your appointment ensure you are makeup free and have clean lashes.Ā
- Ensure your technician is aware of any health concerns or allergies you may have.
- It is best to wait 4 weeks since your last lash lift - contact your technician if you are receiving one earlier than this.Ā
After
- After a Lash Lift, clients should refrain from getting their lashes wet for 24 hours (this includes heavy sweating and steam).
- You should also avoid rubbing their lashes into their pillow for the first night, as lashes are still vulnerable to movement.
- Your Lash Lift will last up to 8 weeks, depending on lash growth cycle. Rebook at 6-8 weeks to continue with your amazing new look!

Where are you located?
Marea Beauty Studio is located in Burnaby at 4025 McConnell Drive - just a short drive from Port Moody, Coquitlam and Vancouver. We're upstairs, above Bespoke Decor in a private studio. You'll see our Marea Beauty Sign but enter the glass door, head up the stairs and we're the second door on the left!
What services do you offer in studio?
We're excited to offer Spray Tanning, Facials, Lash Extensions, Lash Lifts, and waxing.
Where do I park?
You're welcome to park anywhere in the parking lot - even in the reserved spots! If the parking lot is full, there is also free street parking right out front!
Where do I pickup my online order?
If you've purchased from Marea Beauty and chosen the "in-store pickup" option you can pickup Mondays and Tuesdays 11-8pm. Your order will be in a bag/box outside our studio door ready for you!
Can I bring my pet?
We're very much a pet friendly studio and welcome your pups and cats! Just remember the client before or after you may have their pet as well.

What is your service area?
We work within a Home Zone in Vancouver however we do often travel outside of that for an additional fee. You can find our full service map here.
What should I expect for a mobile spray tan?
We aim to arrive within a 10min window of your appointment and will bring everything we need! Please have a 6x6 area available as well as an easily accessible plug in. At the end of the service, we'll take everything with us! In the summer heat, we ask that we please be in an air conditioned space - if that isn't possible then we may be unable to complete your service.
Is there a fee for in-home services?
There is no additional fee within our Home Zone - all prices are as listed on our site! To view the Home Zone and rates in other areas, please click here.
Do I need to provide anything?
Marea Beauty brings all supplies that are needed for your in home spray tan! All we ask is that you please have a 6x6 area available as well as a plug in as well as an air conditioned room (in the summer) - the rest is up to us!
How much room do you need?
The spray tan tent is 6x6 and 7ft tall. If you're in a basement suite please let us know in advance and we can prepare!
I've got pets - is that okay?
Of course! I love pets and have one of my own. š If your pet is reactive, it might be best to keep them in another room, as the spray tan machine can sound like a vacuum. But you know your little bestie best! Iām happy to slowly introduce myself, avoid them, or follow whatever approach you think works best.
What about parking?
If you have visitor parking available, please let us know. If no free visitor parking is available, the cost of parking will be added to your invoice.
I live in an apartment or basement suite, is that okay?
It is! Just let us know the buzzer number or where the basement suite door is located and we'll find our way! Should we have any questions - we'll let you know before the appointment.
How do I make sure you're able to find me on the day of my appointment?
Please include, if applicable, the unit number, buzzer number, and any visitor parking instructions in the 'Notes' section upon booking so we can find you easily and get started with your pampering session right away!
What if I don't have visitor parking?
If you don't have visitor parking, free street parking or a driveway, we'll find the closest paid parking and the cost will be added to your invoice! If you do have visitor parking, please let us know prior to seeing you!
Can I come to you?
Yes you can! We're proud to now be offering Spray Tans, Facials, Lash Extensions and Waxing in studio. We're located near Burnaby Lake, just a short drive from Port Moody, Coquitlam and Vancouver!
My building doesn't have an elevator - is that okay?
It is! Our supplies are portable and easy to carry. Plus, we do any heavy lifting!
